This delicious candy was first discovered on the coast of Brighton, England in the 1800s and was pulled by hand. The first taffy puller was made in 1905 in Philadelphia. For those who have pondered this important question…is there saltwater in saltwater taffy? The answer is no. The name refers to the Eastern shoreline where it originated in this country. We make our taffy daily on our old fashion taffy puller right in the window. Each piece is then wrapped individually by our taffy making experts.
